SmartMicrowave

 

Description:  By scanning barcode on the food package, smart microwave can show the detailed food information, check for the conflicts with the user' diet and allergies, and set cooking time and power automatically or pre-setting time to cook.

 

Feature:

  • Allow people with vision and motion impairments to prepare food more easily.
  • Integrated automatically with diet system in the smart home

  • Employs Java, database and Phidget interface technology
Use Cases

Mr. Anderson, an 80-year-old man, lives by himself. He has a seeing problem and has a bad memory. He scans the food he bought from Walmart and put it in the smart microwave. The smart microwave automatically detects the cooking time and start running. After 5 minutes, the smart microwave reminds Mr. Anderson the food is ready.
